I got extra credit for dressing up like my favorite parasite in my parasitology class. I dressed up like E. Histolytica. Jamie was jealous and wanted the same costume. I told him nobody would know what we were at the ward party...

and nobody did. 

But we won "Most Original Costume". 

Weekend Projects

Jamie and I have been struggling to find a use for our second bedroom. For months it has been littered with boxes and piles and junk and not serving much purpose. With school rolling around the corner, we wanted a place to productively study.

After one trip to Home Depot, a few pieces of wood, and a long amount of counsel from my parents, we were enthusiastic and ready to build a table. We used some 2x2s, 1x4s and some pre-finished MDF for the table top, a drill jig, and some leftover paint from painting our front room trim.

Jamie had exclusive rights to decorate his side of the desk (thus the baseball bat hanging from the wall.)

ta da.

Next project, painting the chairs. Jamie can't wait to help.

Bridals

One of my wonderful sisters was able to take some bridal photos when I was home in Washington for my bridal shower. Jamie was a good sport and came along as well. I was so glad that we could do this, especially because it rained on our wedding day and we didn't spend as much time taking photos together.

Cheese!

This is just outside of Puerto Vallarta while we were on an excursion in the jungle. I went to use el bano when upon examining the facilities I noticed a giant spider the size of my hand. I wanted to pick it up and scare Nicole with it, but she probably would have divorced me on the spot.
The rest of the excursion was a ton of fun. We rode a speed boat out to this little town, then rode army trucks up into the mountains, then rode donkeys even higher into the mountains, and then zip-lined and repelled down back to the trucks. We got all wet going through waterfalls and pools and what not. The harnesses were tough on our sunburned bodies, but we made it through.

Kidding. We don't have any of the wedding pics back yet from our photographer, but we DO have oodles and oodles of footage from the honeymoon. This is somewhere in the pacific ocean. The lovely woman in the flower print dress is my scorching HOTT mega-cutie-tron wife Nicole Wood. And the dude in the dinner jacket is Jamie Wood. Now you know who we are!
